George Craighead Obituary

CRAIGHEAD George Douglas Craighead, a resident for the past 15 years of Magnolia, Mississippi, died September 9, 2007 at the age of 78. Born in Oklahoma on October 29, 1928, he lived for many years in Slidell and River Ridge, Louisiana. Preceded in death on December 23, 2003 by his beloved wife, Olive Jane Dansereau Craighead, a long-time parishioner of All Saints Episcopal Church in River Ridge, and by his parents, George Douglas Craighead and Ethel Underwood Craighead. Survived by his children: Douglas, Catherine and Christopher; grandson, Blake Craighead, daughter-in-law, Pam; sister, Patricia Tsimortos; nieces: Susan Tsimortos and Leslie, Elisabeth, Alison, and Madeleine Dillmann; and his faithful canine companion Puppy. He will be laid to rest beside his wife on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, MS. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Services for George and Olive Jane beginning at 10:30 A.M. Arrangements by Hartman Funeral Home in McComb, MS. And the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, the Rev. Melanie Lemburg Officiating.

They will be greatly missed. My mother-in-law was the best mother-in-law that anyone could ever ask for! When our son was born, I always looked to her for help and advise on babies and she loved her grandbaby better than anything! She was the absolute best!
