George Ferry Obituary

George Joseph Ferry, Sr. peacefully passed away the morning of January 29, 2017. George was born on November 16, 1938, in New Orleans, to Charles and Elizabeth (Poursine) Ferry. His parents moved the family to Waveland, MS, where he was raised, along with his 11 siblings. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Ferry, and his children George Jr., Bernard (Dee), Christopher, Laura (David) White and Charlotte (Paul) McKeon. He lovingly watches over his grandchildren, Maegan White, Caitlin, Liam and Aidan McKeon, as well as his great-grandbaby to be. He is survived by nine siblings and their spouses, Charles (Joan), Richard, James, Francis (Dianne), Eugene (Mary Lou), Alfred, Michael (Jude), Susan, and Linda (Paul) Pitts as well as brother-in-law, Louis Smolensky, and family friend, Bill Bradford. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland, MS, on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 10:00 am. Please join the family for visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Reception immediately following Mass. Interment at St. Louis Cemetery #3 at 2:30pm.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Clare Catholic Church, 236 Beach Blvd, Waveland, MS. Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
