How very sad we were to hear of Gerrys passing! John and I had the good fortune to know him throughout the Weiner childrens education. During those many years we learned that Dr Weiner was a great father and husband, a respected and loved physician, and a charming individual with a great sense of humor.
Im so very sorry Vickie, Chou, Ev and Pumpkin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Were sorry the virus has kept us from being with you today.

Dr. Weiner was not just a great doctor, but he became a personal friend over the 30 years I knew him. We never had a conversation where he didn't make me laugh. He will be truly missed!! Vickie, my prayers go out to you and your family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Gerry for many, many years as we attended the same elementary school. Although we did not see each other frequently thereafter, we were able to reunite in medical school.
Gerry and I spent many hours studying through our first two years of medical school. On our infrequent down times, Gerry, Vicki and I would enjoy a sumptuous meal prepared by Vicki, ( who would easily have been a master chef in these times). After medical school, Gerry and Vicki returned to New Orleans, but I am happy to say we maintained our friendship.
Gerry was a consummate physician. He was extremely bright and possessed an analytic mind, which served him well in caring for his patients In addition, Gerry was a very compassionate man, not only with his patients, but toward all who were lucky enough to have made his acquaintance.
My wife Ellie and I will truly miss Gerry. We wish to send our condolences to Vicki, their children, and grandchildren. Rest in peace Gerry.

I have known Dr Weiner since his training at Ochsner and his practice. He was a kind thoughtful physician and will be sorely missed. Praying for his friends and loved ones.
