Gordon Ewin was a very Impressive Southern Gentleman. My husband and I drove to Greenwood Plantation to visit the cemetary where our ancestors are buried. Gordon not only welcomed us into his home, offering a tour and refreshments, but presented (& insisted we accept) dozens of daylillies from the family homestead to replant back home in New Orleans. We'll remember him and the visit forever. We look forward to returning to Cheneyville and Greenwood again.
God Bless his Family & Friends.

We never met a more delightful neighbor. During our few years at Edgefield he and I enjoted a weekley meal at the Catfish Kitchen were he said he took his New Orleans friends so they could recipocate at the fine resturants of NO. We dearly miss our neighbor and will never forget his friendship. Our thoughts and prayer are with his family, Pat and Chris Hayne.
