Dr. Mitchell was a dear friend of my father. My father Daniel Hawkins passed away a week before his friend. I hope that you will be comforted by the thoughts that others have shared. May the God of all comfort be with you and yours.

To Dr. Mitchell's Family:
I was one of many patients that admired Dr. Mitchell. I just read the notice of his passing and wanted to express my condolences to the family of a wonderful person, my doctor, a giant to his race and a servant of God! He left numerous foot prints in the lives of everyone he encountered. May God comfort each of you and may your memories be golden treasures. I am 60 years old and still remember Dr. Mitchell's kindness from my elementary school years. He lives on as a humble giant!
