In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Hi Family, I am sorry I am unable to be here. I have missed much as I have moved away. I love my family and Uncle Herbert you will be missed. Your bright smile and beautiful eyes looking upon me. I will always value all the times we talked and shared on all those family gathered. You have been the best father I know and a good uncle to me. I feel your peacefulness and know you are in a better place. I will always love you! Malinda

To my family
I am so sorry I could not attend the service. My uncle was such a good man. I often think about what he would say if I could tell him that I would not be at his funeral. I think he would just chuckle and say "thats okay baby" and then he would give me a kiss as always. I would always keep you Aunt Gertrude in my prayers as you have always been there for me and the family. And to my cousins always remember your dad loved you all and he would like for us to be happy for him that he is in a better place where there is no more pain or suffering. My family and I will always lift you up in prayer.
