Diane and Jennifer,
I am so sorry I can't be with you today. I loved your Dad! My very best High School memories are of all of us going to the Silver Beach in Destin. He was simply wonderful- calm, caring, funny and such a great Dad. I know you will miss him.
Love,
Jane

Diane and Jennifer, I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I didn't know him well but I've always found him to be a fine man. He leaves behind a fine legacy with the two of you. I pray that God will comfort you and your families at your time of great loss.

Jen and Diane, I will always remember your Dad as Mr.Pete and I will always think about him when I use paper plates. It was really nice when Jen and Mr.Pete came over after the hurricane 2yrs.(?) ago and we had dinner together and your Dad watched the LSU Football game while we sat around the table talking. He was a wonderful man, I am sorry I didn't get to know him better.
I can tell he was a Great Father just by the way you are both good hearted people. So anyways I am sorry about your Dad. Love, Lynn

Diane and Jennifer, because of his close and lasting friendship with my mother that started when she was Suzy Duvall and a freshman at Newcomb, your Dad was part of my life for as long as I can remember. He was kind, generous and a gentleman. He was always "Pete" to me and my brothers, but that was sometimes changed to "Pee-Chull" for some reason long lost. Much love to you and your families.

Jennifer and Diane, we are very sorry to learn of your dads passing. Pete's dad was my uncle and it was my parents who were coming to visit him before he died that were killed on Christmas eve outside New Orleans. A few years back, before the hurricane, I was in New Orleans on business and I contacted Pete and met him for the first time. We enjoyed a wonderful evening getting to know each other and catching up on a lifetime of experiences. It was a memory that I will cherish forever. We did talk a couple times after and we wanted him to come to a family get together but his health was already failing and he was not comfortable in traveling. We all will miss him. My family and I will be thinking of you and praying for God's comfort and peace to be with you at this time. John and Mary Brennecke

Diane and Jennifer, You had a very loving father,he always wanted to tell me how wonderful you two were to him and how much he loved you and those precious grandchildren,, He and cousin Nancy had some fun trips to the N. C. Mountains and all over New England. Nancy would arise at 6am and Pete would join her about 1 pm, but they truly enjoyed their times together. I remember Pete at the beach with us entertaining my 3 yr. old grandaughter by allowing Kala to pull his ears. He was a special cousin and I will miss him. My love and prayers are with each of you. Our most sincere sympathy. Pete was a very special cousin. When I was 5 years old, and my grandmother and I were visiting Pete, Uncle Irvine and Aunt Ree, I became very homesick. Pete found me in my bed crying because I wanted to go home. He got me up and played with me and consoled me until I stopped crying. I have never forgotten his kindness. He, Nana and Uncle Irvine took me to Mardi Gras and showed me the time of my life. Uncle Irvine was on a float, and they made sure I got lots of bangles and beads. I kept my costume for years. He showed "Butch" and me how to fish in the stream--but we never caught anything. I will always have special memories of Pete.

Jennifer and Diane, I am sorry to hear of Petes death. I knew him as a preschool child when my grandmother took me for a one time visit. Pete was 5 years older than I and my entertainment was probably part of his agenda. He would shoot marbles with such force that they would break on contact. At that time they lived on Canal Street and a small park was nearby . . On one occasion he took me to the park and I was in for a canoe ride . All my sisters have met him as an adult, but I always seemed to be at the wrong place and never had that chance. I think its part of the price of being a pharmacist. Maybe some day our paths will cross and I can meet the rest of my family. I wish I could come down, but I just got out the hospital after surgery. I will be thinking of you and your families as you go through this trying time. Sid Brennecke.

I was so lucky and twice blessed when I married his daughter, Diane. Who knew I'd get such a wonderful package deal. He welcomed me as a son, and I thought of him as a second father. I will miss him dearly. Dan Christy

Diane & Jennifer, I am so saddened by your loss and please know I am there in spirit with you both. There are so many great memories of Pete and the both of you with our family..... our dinners at Nikko Inn are a lifetime imprint on their own. Even though Pete is not with us, I will forever smile when I think of him because of those wonderful times together over the years.
