Ivy Joseph Leroux Sr.

Ivy Joseph Leroux, Sr. passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the age of 98. Beloved husband of the late Bernice Foret Leroux. Loving father of the late Ivy Joseph "I.J." Leroux, Jr. and Gayle Ann Leroux. Father-in-law of Melissa White Leroux. Grandfather of Travis J., Garrett P. and Colin P. Leroux. Son of the late Adrien S. Leroux and Alice Blouin Leroux. Brother of the late Claude John Leroux. Mr. Leroux was a member of the Metropolitan Development Center, the Jefferson Golden Agers and the Bayou Region Supports and Services Center. He was also an usher at St. Agnes Catholic Church for over 40 years. As a veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Leroux served his country proudly during World War II. He was a retired Supervisor of the Continental Can Company. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, on Friday, November 4, 2016, starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass in the Chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics Louisiana, 1000 East Morris Avenue, Hammond, LA 70403.
