James Mahoney Obituary

James Wilfred Mahoney, born October 9, 1952, in New Orleans, La., and passed away on October 10, 2014. Son of the late Robert E. Mahoney and Dorothy Tremblay Mahoney. Preceded in death by his brother, Robert Scherer Mahoney, sisters Ann M. Dragna and Jeanne M. McCollister. Brother of Edwin I. Mahoney of Picayune, Ms, sisters Ruth Mahoney of Metairie, Mary M. Murry of Alexandria, La. and many nieces and nephews. Jimmie attended Southeastern La. University and served honorably in the LA National Guard. He was kind, gentle man who was loved by many friends and family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Interment in Metairie Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com.
