I first met Jimmy when I was a paralegal at Hulse, Nelson & Wanek in 1990. Jimmy was then and always remained a truly nice guy throughout the nearly 20 years that I knew Jimmy. My sincere condolences to Jimmy's family. Go Blue Devils! Colin Sherman, Duke '88

I've know Jimmy for many many years. He always had a smile on his face. Though as we all grew up and apart, we reconnected on Facebook. I'm thankful to have known Jimmy and happy to know he is in pain no longer. Rest in peace my dear.

I worked with Jimmy for quite a long time and relocated back to my home state post-Katrina. I stayed in touch with Jimmy for a long time. I was proud of him for his involvement with CASA as my father is also and we exchanged emails about CASA. He would share stories with me about his daughters, although I never met them while working with him, but I can tell them that he was a proud father.

In my career in the legal field, he was one of my favorite attorneys and he was a special person. He told great stories and he was very kind. I know he is in a better place where he is suffering no longer. Jimmy's family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Quite simply, Jimmy was my best friend. We had not spoken as much as I would have liked recently due to his illness.Jim, I love you and hope to meet up with you someday when God calls me.To your family I offer my love and support. Jimmy would have been so very proud of Bridget and Claire for how mature, eloquent, and accepting they both were as they read the memoir they had written. Also for the decision to include Bridge House in lieu of flowers. Jim and Trish, you did well:)
To Beulah, Robbie, Beth and Scott, you are in my daily prayers and have been for some time. May God fill your hearts with fond memories and Peace. I am a better man for having Jimmy in my life...Bridget said it best, "what a long, strange trip it's been..." I love you all. Kevin and Pam Greene
