Jane Calhoun Obituary

Jane Hickman Calhoun, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on February 19, 2023 at the age of 73. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on May 10, 1949 to the late Marion Hickman and Gilbert Hickman. Jane is the beloved wife of 55 years to Roger Howard Calhoun Sr.; cherished mother of Rory H. Calhoun (Nikole), Ratasha C. Treadway (Allen), Ryan H. Calhoun (Jennifer), Ranada C. McClurg (Ronald), and the late Roger H. Calhoun Jr.; and treasured sister of Gilbert Hickman, Bonnie Stritzinger, Kenneth Hickman, and Darryl Hickman. She also leaves behind, to cherish her memory, 18 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family members. Jane will fondly be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening in her free time and had a love for frogs. Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell.
