Janet Hooley Saucier

Janet Hooley Saucier passed away on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021. She was 83. She was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Metairie and Covington, LA. She is survived by her four children Stephen Saucier (Sandy Puyau Saucier), David Saucier (Kathy Hawkins Saucier), Suzanne Saucier Allison (P. Shannon Allison) and Renee Saucier; grandmother of 9 grandchildren, Kristyn Ledet (Max), Jarred Saucier, Austen Saucier, Zachary Saucier (Nicole), Michelle Saucier, Brandon Allison (Jacee), Carly Maywald (Blake), Conner Allison, and Breanna Allison; and 3 great-grandchildren, Madisyn Taranto, Liam Ledet, and Landyn Ledet. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lloyd Thomas Saucier; father Thomas William Hooley, Jr; mother, Aleen West Hooley; brother Thomas William Hooley, III; and sister, Ruth Gail Hooley Gremillion. Janet attended Fortier High School and was a member of the class of 1955. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing golf, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and "Jana" to her family and will be missed by all.The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of St. Anthony's Gardens, Heritage Manor Mandeville, and St. Catherine's Hospice. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 from 9:30am – 11:00am with a Memorial Service beginning at 11:00am.Private Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
