Aunt Deede,
I do not know where to begin! My heart is definitely broken. I will miss you, but I will honor your memory every day. You were like a second Mom to me. I spent countless hours at your house. You took me to porcelain doll making classes with you, you helped me paint pictures, you allowed me to carry Lenni around as a baby (all the time), you hired me to type all of the recipes for your cookbook, you helped me bake (brownies were your specialty), you gave me advice, but most of all you LOVED me.
Each day, I wish that I was as talented as you. I make the comment all the time that the Zeringue gene for talent skipped over me! I will treasure all of the things that you made for me and my family. Each time I put the ornaments you made on the Christmas tree, I will remember the fun times that we had. Every mass during Christmas, I will look at your beautiful picture and remember your thoughtfulness. Each time I put a hot plate into the plate holder that you made, I will remember your kindness. Each Saints game or LSU game that I watch, I will think about how you loved to watch them also. Each time we get together at Moms house, I will remember the love that you had for your brothers and sisters. Each time I look at Lenni, Larry and Britten, I will remember the mother/grandmother that loved them more than life itself.
I am thankful in knowing that you are home with God after fighting so hard. It is comforting to know that you are not in the extreme pain that we often saw in your eyes. Please look over us and continue to guide us. We might not be able to hear your words or see your face, but we know that you can give us signs. We will look for these each day until we meet again!
May you rest in peace with Jesus.
Love you always and forever!
Rhonda
