Jason Ostrander Obituary

Jason Anthony Ostrander passed away peacefully at Ochsner Westbank on Monday January 23, 2017 at the age of 27 surrounded by family and friends. Jason is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Robert E. Lee Schneider and Vivian Adair Schneider.Jason is lovingly remembered by his mother Lori S. Ostrander, his son Braydn A. Ostrander, his siblings Ronald L. Ostrander (Ashley), Christopher "Oaf" Ostrander (Michelle), Lindsey M. Roberts (Jason), John E. Ostrander, Brandon M. Ostrander, and Brittney M. Schneider (Sean). He was the proud godfather/uncle to Ava Grace Ostrander and godfather of Elysia Cooper. He was the loving uncle to Alysseah, Abigail, Jason Jr., Aaliyah, and Christopher Jr. He was nephew to Alvin J. Schneider, Kim F. Schneider (Rebecca), Cody T. Schneider, Timothy G. Schneider, Roy C. Schneider (Jan), Stacey A. Schneider (godfather), and Tracey S. Landry (Steve). He will be missed by his cousins Erik Landry, Amanda Landry, Vivian Schneider, Ryan Royal, and Rachel Royal. Jason is also survived by his godmother Robin D. Devenport, great uncles, great aunts, other extended family and friends. Jason was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 25, 1989. He attended West Jefferson High School. He loved to go fishing every chance he got and loved to listen to all genres of music with his friends and family. He was also a huge New Orleans Saints fan and never missed an opportunity to watch the game and cheer on the Black & Gold. Jason had a huge heart, great personality, and a wonderful spirit. He will truly be missed by all his family, friends, pets, and all others who had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like extend gratitude to the staff at Ochsner Westbank for providing Jason with the best medical attention while he was in their care. Also to any and all others who were contributors to Jason's wellbeing. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Jason Ostrander's Benefit Account at any Regions Bank.
