Jesse Quebedeaux Obituary

Jesse Quebedeaux, a native of Arnaudville, LA and a longtime resident of Bridge City, earned his angel wings, and entered into paradise to be with his Lord and Savior and with his beloved wife on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 88. The love of his life was his beloved wife of 58 years, the late Beulah Quebedeaux. He was the son of the late David and Alice Quebedeaux. Father of Terry Quebedeaux (Yvette), Deborah Barras (Butch), Michael Quebedeaux, and Lona Salomon (Brian). Grandfather of Jerri Blouin (Todd), Roxanne Stanich (Charles), Jessica Breaux (Gerard), Chad Barras (Amy), Brittany Salomon, and Brett Salomon, as well as step grandfather of Chad Duvernay, Monique Duvernay, Shane Duvernay, and Darin Duvernay. Great grandfather of Terri Blouin, Tori Blouin, Laneigh Breaux, and Chase Stanich, as well as step great grandfather of Brianna Duvernay, Chloe Duvernay, Dylan Duvernay, and Chase Duvernay. Brother of Leroy and Lloyd, as well as the late Robert, George, Germain, Lucy, Alma, Edith, Mary, Louis, Wade, and Johnny. Jesse was retired after 42 years with Southern Pacific Railroad as a Car Foreman. He was a charter member of Nine Mile Point Fire Station and a member of the Men's Club at Holy Guardian Angels Church in Bridge City. He was actively involved in his church, and dedicated many hours to the gumbo fest and serving his church. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army. He loved to fish and garden, and loved to share the produce of his hands with those around him. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at his church, Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Bridge City, on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at church at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
