Jimmy Cox Obituary

Jimmy D. Cox. Jimmy, age 79, joined his wife in Heaven on Thursday, July 11, 2024. He was a resident of Holden, LA. Jimmy was an extremely hard worker and dedicated many years as a Contractor in the construction business. He enjoyed working and even found things to work on around his home. Jimmy was an avid Saints and LSU fan and loved to watch them on TV. Jimmy was a fantastic cook and liked to have the family over for big meals together. He adored his family, but the ones that called him GaGa held a special place in his heart. Jimmy was a strong, loving, and wonderful man who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Cooper (Tony); son, Larry Cox (Tess); grandchildren, DJ Norred (Colleen), Lori Aulds (Justin), Taylor Cox, Kassie Cox, Kohl Cox; great-grandchildren, Lily Barron, Kaitlyn Norred, Brennon Newman, Eli Anthony, Karleigh Norred, Case Aulds; his fur-baby, June Bug; and his nieces and nephews, Ronnie, Eric, Beverly, Becky, Neil, Vickie, Stephanie, Jay, Tim, Titus, and Leticia. Jimmy is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Cox; parents, Oscar and Margaret Cox; and several brothers and sisters. A cremation was held and a memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
