Jo Ann "Jo-Jo" Baye

The family of Jo Ann "Jo-Jo" Baye is saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the age of 88 years. She is survived by her daughter Charlene Baye Enos (Billy), grandchildren Jeremy Baye (Elena), Jarred Baye (Michelle), Ali Enos and Matt Enos; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a half-sister Janis B. Oser (Jack) and brother-in-law Aubrey Baye (Ann), along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jo Ann was predeceased by her husband Eugene "Cookie" Baye Sr., son Eugene "Jeep" Baye Jr., mother Doris Lorio, father James "Jimmy" Bourgeois, beloved grandparents Tom and Ida D. Camardelle, many dearly loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. As a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, niece and friend who always put others before herself, a proud, life-long resident of Westwego, a friend to many, especially her rescue dogs "too many to count", and always looking for ways to make people laugh, she will always remain in our hearts and memories. Family, friends and co-workers from Westwego City Hall, Jefferson Parish School bus drivers and Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072 on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 11 am. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 9 am until 11 am. Interment, Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.
