Joan Riecke Obituary

Joan Davis Riecke passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday May 7, 2023 at the age of 80. Born September 22, 1942 to the late Henry and Eugenie Davis. She was a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA and graduate of Mount Carmel Academy. She met the love of her life in high school and married in 1961. She enjoyed playing tennis and Mahjong with a group of her lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Davis and Eugenie Davis. Survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 61 years, Robert R. Riecke, daughters Kelly Loisel (the late Rion), Michelle Harris (Donald), granddaughters Emily Loisel Lemoine (Spencer), Kaitlyn Harris Trosclair (Jonathan), Abigail Harris and great-grandson Daniel Lemoine. Sister Helen Davis Ziifle (Bob) Brother in Law Charles Riecke (the late Mona), Sister in Law Jean Deckert (the late Joseph) and late Brother in Law Henry Riecke (the late Jean). We would like to thank our extended family and wonderful friends for their support during this time. An online guestbook is available at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
