Joan was an inspiration to all on the job!!!!!! There was never a dull moment for her compassion, warm spirit and wonderful sense of humor would not allow it. She brought light and joy to all. Im thankful to have met her and offer my love and and prayers to Tiff and the family.

Remembering Joan is like a breath of fresh air!!!!!!! There was never a dull moment when she was around, because her warm friendly personality brought happiness, love and loads of laughter to the point of tears!!!!! She would make you feel wonderful when you were feeling down because of her compassionate heart. I truly miss her smile and adoring attitude. Tiff and family you were blessed to have her as your loved one. Continue on in the faith and remember to smile as she did regardless of what the situation may be because she will be smiling with you. Tiffani and family...what an inspiration Joan was to everyone she came in contact with..met Joan as our toastmasters club sponsor 25+ years ago..a ray of light she was then and continued to be throughout our time together..heaven has another angel..may her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace..Amen..thinking of you fondly..

I worked at BellSouth but I met Joan at FABC many many years ago in Toastmaster. She greeted me with a smile and a hug. Encouraged me to share in Toastmaster. Later, I saw her again and she was excited to share pictures of her grandchild. Finally, we met again at FABC as members. I remember her testimony one night of she will let nothing shake her faith in the Lord. Be strong Tiffanni (my FABC Family) and know God got you. She will be missed but I am grateful to God he allowed her to pass my way.

Thank you for lending Joan to our BellSouth family. She was a 'headmaster', a sister, a mother and a friend to all of us. Where others sometimes saw the negative, Joan showed them the positive. She was serious (?) when she had to be but even then she gave a tender moment to smooth edges. She was a dear sweet spirit here on earth so just think of the entrance she has made in heaven! I will forever miss Joan's true heart of love and kindness. She always brought laughter to all who knew her. Her smile and sense of humor were contagious, she just warmed the atmosphere with so much fun that kept us all cheerful especially when our spirits were down. We had some very good times as family on the job, she will be truly missed by all even though most of us are retired. God bless you Tiff and family we thank you for sharing her with us. We love you all and will continue to keep
you in our prayers. Remember there is no hurt that God can't get you through, but she will always be with you in your hearts forevermore!!!!!!!

My husband Tony and I both had the privilege of meeting Joan through involvement in Toastmasters. She was always a ray of light and willing to help anyone who needed guidance. She was someone you could talk to, confide in, and seek wisdom from in any situation. She was a giver and was dedicated to the success of those around her. She shared her knowledge and experience with all she met and was always ready to greet you with a smile and a hug. She will be missed but not forgotten. May God wrap His loving arms around her family and surround them with grace, mercy and peace during this time. We loved Ms. Joan and therefore we love all of you; you are all extensions of her and whether we have ever met or not, we are family. Her grace will be remembered always.

To the Turner family,
My heart breaks for you. I know it hurts now but think of this as freedom for your Mom. No more pain no more suffering. We tend to be selfish not wanting them to leave us but God has other plans. Who are we to put a question mark where God has placed a period. The time will come when you and the rest of the family will be able to laugh about your Mom's life and not cry . Those days will bring you much joy. I know because I was where you are today but now I'm on the other side and it's a great feeling. Joan and I had a special relationship I was her Godchild I called her Godmother, she got a kick out of that. Joan, Yvonne and myself were know as the three amigos we were always together at work. I will forever cherish those days. I'll miss Godmother but I know she's in a much better place. Be strong....

I first met Joan at a Toastmasters conference 22 years ago. So inspirational! She was amazingly likeable and professional. We became instant friends. I also worked with her as a customer of Bellsouth. Again, she was the utmost professional. I greatly looked up to Joan. My condolences to her daughter and family. God Bless.

Tiffany , your Mom Joan and my friend was loved by everyone she came in contact with! We worked at Bellsouth together and her desk was in front of mine, she made me laugh even when I didn't feel like it. Many times we talked about her frogs she loved and in her own way she never would let anyone be sad. She would always come up with a joke or something funny and would make us laugh. I know she is in heaven making everyone laugh and watching and taking care of her beautiful family from above!
