I just learned of the passing of my dear uncle Joffery Cochennic. When I was a kid I loved visiting my Uncle Joffery and Aunt Kate with my father Nougie Cochennic. I remember watching the boats go by on the bayou and Aunt Kate gave me my first initial ring and I cherished it. My Uncle Joffery and Kate were the kindest people I have ever met. You could not stop by without them calling my cousins to tell them to come see you while you were there, and forget about leaving without sitting down and eating that was unheard of! I will miss him deeply. My condolences to Joffery Jr and his family, mydear cousin Dianna and her family and Elaine and her family as well.I have learned a valuable lesson today, do not put off seeing the people you love they will not be here forever. My heart goes out to all of the family.I hope you were blessed enough to meet him if you are reading this. With Love to all of you, Michael A Cochennic

My condolences to the family. Uncle Joffrey was a very kind and gentle person. My last visit with him in February 2006 was especially memorable. We prayed together before we left. I can still see him in front of the shrine next to his house waving me goodbye and feeling that I had just left the presence of a truly good person. He will be missed.
