John Joseph Quinn

John Joseph Quinn, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on November 6, 2021 at the age of 76. Best known as Jack, he was a native of Worcester, Massachusetts, born on June 28, 1945 to his loving parents, the late Nora and John Quinn. Jack is the beloved husband of 51 years to Judith Quinn; cherished father of John Thomas Quinn (Julie) and Devlyn Quinn Emilio (Tony); beamingly proud 'Grampy' of Lainey Quinn, Lydia Quinn, Quinn Emilio, and Pyper Emilio; brother of Bridget Crill, Frances Leovich, and Thomas Quinn; and 'Unc' to Sandra, Sean, Stephanie, Mary, Nora, Tom, Kerri, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Jack was a graduate of South High School in Worcester and Worcester State College. He bravely served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Homestead, Florida and Plattsburgh, New York. Jack was employed with Ochsner Foundation Hospital and the State of Louisiana at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana as a hospital administrator. Jack had a huge presence, always a good story, and a smile and twinkle whenever he spoke of his family. He had a deep love for all things that were Irish, Boston, the Saints, and thoroughly enjoyed fox hunting in his spare time. Jack will forever be always in our hearts. He will be laid to rest on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
