I knew John and Cissy beginning in our teenage years in Terrytown. I had such respect for John, as did everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and would help anyone that needed it. This world is missing a truly bright light without him in it. My deepest sympathy to Cissy and family.

I met John in ' 84 and remember it well. It was my first time at Lenfants and he walked up to me and said his friend would like to dance; he pointed across the room to Jeff Lawrence and I said yes. The song was George Michael "Never Gona Dance Again". My Mom went to Heaven August 9th last year. I hope she has met him and they are having a great time dancing.

I do not know what I will do without my brother. I love him with all my heart and now it is broken. I will miss his smile, kind heart, his intelligent mind and his fun loving easy going way of life. But most of all, I will miss his voice, hugs and being there. I do not know how the world goes on without him. I love you with all my heart and will forever be thinking about you.

Be strong my friend Judy! John had a short life, but a full and happy one. He really did do it his way. I will always remember him playing the (player) piano with such fun and gusto and "speaking French" to the dog.
We all miss him, but I will smile when I think of him, for he brought joy to us all.
He will always be in our hearts and in our minds.
Be strong my friend Judy! There is a brand new angel looking after you.
We are here for you.
Love, Eve, Michelle and Yiayia

I am so sorry to hear about John's passing. He will always be remembered as a happy go lucky guy, the cool guy with the cool car and cool friends! I can't say I ever remember him without a smile on his face...He was too young to go and will be sadly missed by all. Growing up he was like a brother to me, and it breaks my heart to have him gone. Know my thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.
Love,

I am extremely saddened to hear about the passing of my friend John Vincent (J.V.) He was like a brother to me and will be missed very much. Though the present time is sad, I will choose to instead celebrate the happiness and joy we shared together for many, many years! He was not only a person with whom I shared many good times but also a trusted confidant and a person who always had a positive and perhaps alternate view on the many issues we discussed. He always had a knack for making people all around him smile, cheerful and more thoughtful, I am sure he will be fondly remembered by all that knew him for these very rare qualities. Let us all celebrate his life and the fact that he touched us in a unique way and that we were privileged to have him in our lives! Peace be with you Brother and may the good Lord look over you for eternity. Jeff Lawrence
