Jonathan Wilson Raymond

Jonathan Wilson Raymond was born on January 3, 1969, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Jonathan accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at Second Mount Calvary Baptist Church in New Orleans by the late Reverend J.B. Barnes, Sr. "Jon", "JR", "Boss" lived a full life on this earth. He enjoyed second lines, cars, dogs and partying with friends and family. Jonathan attended Holy Ghost Elementary School, St. Augustine High School and graduated from Redeemer High School. He served his country for 2 years in the United States Army and later attended SUNO. Boss as they called him at work, was a valued employee of the City of New Orleans for over thirty years. Jonathan leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his father Wilson Raymond, his mother Lovina Richardson Raymond, his sister Dionne J. Raymond, his children grandchildren, a "Special Lady Friend", a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Jonathan will always be remembered and hold a special place in our hearts. Employee of JJIC, relatives, family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave., New Orleans, LA 70125 on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 10:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery 4000 Norman Mayer Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70122. Everyone in attendance is required to always wear a mask. Arrangements by D.W.
