My grandpa was a man of honor and a true gentleman. He was a proud veteran of World War II, retiree of Bell South telephone company and a member of several reputable organizations. He took great pride in his work and everything that he did. He taught me the value of saving, putting effort into tasks, doing things the correct way, and that most things are worth fixing, as opposed to being thrown away. My grandpa was the kind of gentleman who regularly wore dress clothes, carried hanker-chiefs, and held the door open for people. He attended church every week and had great faith in Jesus Christ. My grandpa was a listener and problem solver. If he offered advise, you could bet it was well worth taking. My grandpa always put his family first. It amazed me that after 69 years of marriage, he and my grandma Claire were still very much in love. Despite hardships over the years, they not only always loved and honored one another, but made it look so easy. Their relationship was a model of a great marriage, one of which we could all hope to aspire to. I know deep in my heart that none of us could have possibly asked for a better husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle or friend. My grandpa was a proud American and truly lived The American Dream.

"Nothing Gold Can Stay". Mr Joe was one of the kindest men I knew. He loved his children, grandchildren and most of all his wife. I loved his laugh and honesty. May he Rest In Peace and know that he was loved by many.

Grandpa will be truly missed. He has helped me so much over the course of time and I was able to share and solve many problems of all sorts with his help. I know that if anyone was destine to go to heaven it is him. He will watch over all of us. I am also grateful for his help in raising William and Brent and I am hopeful they can remember his wisdom and follow in his path. R.I.P Grandpa.

Claire,Mark, and Maria, My children and I fondly remember the Thanksgivings we shared with you. Even though we got together only once a year we were creating memories that bring back the good times to this day. Your family is a shining example of God's love here on earth. Your faith and devotion will see you through this. May Joe rest in the peace he so deserved.
