Joseph "Joe" Pugh

Joseph "Joe" Pugh passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 3:24 a.m. at University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Joseph was the loving father of Shandrica Pugh and grandfather of Sherman Badie IlI, Sylena Badie and Geordan Rogers. He was also the great-grandfather of Jayden Badie. Joseph was preceded in death by his father Theophus Pugh, mother Shirley Pugh Isom, stepfather James Isom and aunt Betty Miller. He leaves to cherish his memory two brothers Keith and Michael Isom, two nieces, one nephew, nine great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Joseph also known as, Brother Joe, was a devoted member of Carrollton Avenue Baptist Church, under the guidance of Pastor Brian K. Webber since February 2, 2014. He was an active member in the Men's Ministry and he also served as a Gatekeeper (usher). Bro. Joe, read the scriptures of the day for the men's class and would give his insight from his study throughout the week. There was no job too small for Bro. Joe, as Gatekeeper, he assisted with Communion service by offering prayers as his favorite songs were sung. Joe was a former loyal employee of Lusk Shipping Company, Inc., for over 20 years and an avid coconut decorator for many members of the Zulu Social & Pleasure Club in his spare time. Joseph "Joe" Pugh, will truly be missed. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of Carrollton Avenue Baptist Church are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, January 15, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Brian K.
