Joseph "Daddy Boy" Robertson III

Joseph "Daddy Boy" Robertson, III departed this life on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the age of 78. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Beloved son of the late Joseph Robertson, Jr. and Lilly Thomas. Loving brother of Jackie (Ella) Thomas, Bernard Nelson, Edward (Yada) Robertson, Nathaniel Porterfield, Julia Robertson, Brenda Nelson, Janice Robertson, Jeanette Robertson Lewis, Sonji Robertson (Graylin) Warner, and the late Ernest Thomas, Terrell Beaux, Marilyn Breaux, and Joyce Robertson Journee. Joseph is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Rock Baptist Church, New Bethel Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, Life Center Cathedral, Second Zion Baptist Church, St. Thomas Missionary Baptist Church, Mount Olive Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Israel Baptist Church, 1612 Esther Street, Harvey, LA on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Darryl McKinnies, host pastor; Bishop Leonard Franklin, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery-Metairie, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
