Kathleen Couret Obituary

In Loving Memory of Kathleen (Kathy) Couret (1947–2024). With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kathy) Couret on Friday, March 1, 2024. Her cherished loved ones surrounded Kathy's final moments. Kathy's vibrant spirit and legacy of joy touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was born in New Orleans and spent her childhood years in Bayou Liberty and Slidell, cultivating lifelong friendships and cherished memories. Kathy's love story with her devoted husband, Ronald (Ronnie) Couret, spanned 56 years. Together, they built a life in Metairie, Louisiana, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Kathy's devotion to family and friends was unwavering. She leaves behind a legacy of love, touching the lives of her two sons: Kirk and Christopher Couret, were the pride of Kathy's heart, and her legacy extended to her six beloved grandchildren: Dustin, Conner, Camille, Krista, Cooper, and Corinne Couret. Kathy's joy multiplied when she welcomed her great-grandchild, Landon Couret, into the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Woggie) Boucher and Edwina Boucher, as well as her cherished sister, Edwina (Suggie) Harris, and William (Billy) Couret. Kathy's memory lives on through her surviving brother, Robert (Bobby) Boucher, her brother-in-law, Glenn Harris and Thomas Couret. And a host of nieces and nephews. Among them are Michelle Harris Lambertson, Nicole Harris Munsch, Kim Boucher Brooks, Keiron Couret, Bobby Jay, Brad Boucher, William III, Cory, and Cheyenne Couret-each a testament to Kathy's enduring impact. A memorial service to honor Kathy's life will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at St. Edward the Confessor Church (4921 W. Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA 70001). The visitation will commence at 11:00 a.m., followed by a heartfelt mass at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation to St. Jude's in honor of Kathleen Couret-a tribute to her compassionate spirit and unwavering love for others.
