Kenneth Wayne Bennett, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on April 9, 1951, in Crockett, Texas, Kenneth's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of adventure and a deep capacity for love. Kenneth is the treasured son of the late L.C. Bennett and Carrie Lea Minter Bennett. His life was enriched by his loving marriage to Carla Dudley Bennett, with whom he shared 26 years and many cherished memories until her passing. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Glenda Sue Strban, and his beloved grandchild, Cameron Bennett. Kenneth's legacy lives on through his devoted children, Kevin Bennett, Jacob Rutherford (Yijia), Lauren Walker (Scott), and Jacey Densmore (Denis). His grandchildren, Kaleb Bennett, Averi Faust, Ella Faust, Audrey Rutherford, and Aurelia Rutherford, will forever cherish the memories of their doting grandfather. A graduate of Crockett High School, Kenneth's professional life was characterized by his role as a sales representative and benefit counselor, from which he retired after years of dedicated service. His colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and commitment, always ready to lend a helping hand. Kenneth's involvement with the Rotary of Slidell and various leadership roles within the community showcased his passion for service and his desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. He enjoyed golfing and attending gatherings with friends and family. His adoration for frequent travels spoke to his adventurous spirit. An avid fan of football and westerns, Kenneth found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His laughter and stories were the heart of many family gatherings, and his presence was a source of comfort and happiness to all who knew him. Kenneth's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. He was a pillar of strength for his loved ones, a guiding light in times of uncertainty, and a source of endless support and encouragement.
