Kenneth LeFebvre Obituary

Kenneth 'Big Ken' Joseph LeFebvre of Columbia, MS entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the age of 72. Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Ann Morales LeFebvre; parents, Leo and Catherine Mercier LeFebvre. He is survived by his loving children, Connie LeFebvre, Lisa LeFebvre Ledet (Wayne) and Kenneth LeFebvre, Jr. Devoted grandfather of Shawn, Dylan (Kasondra), Bronson, Chelsea (Aaron), Joseph, Doris (Cole), David, Wayne, Ryan and Garrett, as well as many great-grandchildren. Kenneth 'Big Ken' was a native of St. Bernard Parish where he resided in Hopedale, LA. In his youth he enjoyed baseball, a tradition his kids and grandkids continue to follow. Ken worked as a Crew Boat Captain before owning his own vessel, 'The Bayou Blues.' He was a commercial fisherman most of his life. In between shrimp seasons, he never missed a chance to spend quality time on vacation with his children. As an adult, Ken enjoyed deer hunting; everyone knew his hunted bucks were better than everyone else's, even if it was just a spike. Ken was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his legacy will live on through his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2805 Bayou Rd., St. Bernard, LA on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 11:30 AM with Visitation beginning at 10 AM. Internment immediately following at St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery. To view the guestbook and leave condolences, please visit www.serenitycovington.com.

We enjoyed spending time with Kenny and his family two weeks ago. He was surprised to see his three cousins pull up in his driveway. Kenny will be sadly missed.

We have such grand memories of visiting Cousin Kenny and fishing at his dock in Hopedale, Louisiana. Kenny's sweet wife Doris was an amazing cook. They were such hospitable and gracious hosts. It is comforting to think he is with Doris, his parents, Leo, and Catherine "Nan."
