Kenneth Lenoir Obituary

Kenneth Ray Lenoir passed away peacefully in his home on August 26, 2022, at the age of 79. Beloved husband for 57 years of Jane Hooper Lenoir. Proud dad to Christopher Ray Lenoir (Susan) and Kevin Richard Lenoir. Loving grandpa to Alexander Richard Lenoir. His close extended family included his brother-in-law John Hooper, nieces and nephew, as well as great nieces and great nephews. He also had a close relationship with his wife's parents, the late Hubert and Una Falcon Hooper. Ken was born in Carriere, MS on September 19, 1942, to the late Ollice and Evon Adcox Lenoir. He grew up in New Orleans but lived most of his life in Metairie before relocating to Mandeville. He graduated from John McDonogh Senior High School in 1960 where he met his future wife. He was employed by Orion South, Inc. (formerly Reagan Equipment Co.) for over 30 years, working in parts, sales, and management. He retired in 2007. He loved family gatherings, fishing, and playing golf. Each activity brought him joy, as well as many bonding moments with family and friends. The family offers special thanks to Traditions Hospice for taking such good care of our husband and father. A private burial service was held at the Garden of Memories Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment was in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.
