Larry Gordon

Larry "Big George" Gordon passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022, at the age of 74. He was born on September 17, 1947 to the late Claude and Louisa Thomas Gordon. He was baptized at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he was an active and faithful member until his health declined. Larry graduated in l966 and later enlisted into the United States Marine Corp, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E6. He worked various jobs, but his employment to Cytec Industry for 33 years gave him the most Satisfaction. Larry enjoyed family gatherings, cookouts, and football games (New Orleans Saints). Larry leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife: Debra Percy Gordon; sons: Demeir Dominic Gordon and Brain Banks; future daughter-in-law: Ormoni Favorite; grandchildren: Dawsyn Gordon, O'meir Gordon and Brittany Banks. A walk-through visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 4pm-7pm. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 10am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 LA 18 Edgard, LA 70049. Viewing from 8am until Mass time. Entombment to follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. Final care and professional services entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services.
