Larry Lemoine Obituary

Larry Keith Lemoine, Sr., passed away at his home in Hammond, Louisiana, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of the late Linda H. Lemoine; loving father of Larry Lemoine, Jr. (Jeannie) and David Lemoine (Martha); grandfather of Jessica Serpas (Corey), Nicholas Lemoine (Kiersten), and Chloe Lemoine; great grandfather of Caleb, Carson, Claire, and Cooper Serpas and Luke Lemoine; and son of the late Irwin and Mary Bordelon Lemoine. He will also be missed by his friends and neighbors. Larry was born in Bordelonville, Louisiana on October 6, 1938, and was raised in New Orleans. He was a graduate of De La Salle High School, and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of the 4th Degree. For many years, Larry did volunteer work at East Jefferson Hospital and, most recently, at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow the Mass at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
