I ONCED ASKED UNCLE LEE, POP. NOT VERY LONG AGO, CHRISTMAS EVE, IN FACT, IF WE HAD ANY RICH UNCLES IN OUR FAMILY. HE SAID, WITH LOVING HUMOR, THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW OF ANY BUT THAT I SHOULD KEEP LOOKING AND THAT HE WOULD LET ME KNOW IF HE HEARD OF ANY.

THE IRONY OF THAT STATEMENT IS THAT POP WAS BY FAR, ONE OF THE WEALTHEST PEOPLE I'VE EVER KNOWN. HIS HEART ABOUND ALL LIMITS OF LOVING OTHERS, HIS EYES CONTAINED GREAT VISION THAT SAW BEYOND MY PHYSICALLY LIMITATIONS AND BELIEVED IN MY INDEPENDANCE WITHOUT QUESTION OR PROOF AND HIS LIFE GAVE ME THREE BEST FRIENDS WHO INHEIRITED THEIR FATHER'S RICHES. FAREWELL MY FRIEND.MAY YOU SOAR TO THE END OF THE RAINBOW, CAJUN DANCE ETERNALLY, AND MAY YOU LIE SAFE AND WARM IN THE ARMS OF CHRIST. I LOVE YOU, POP.

I am so sorry to hear of your dad's death, Deanne. He was such a wonderful man. We will all miss him so much. Every time I see someone dancing or hear Cajun music I think of him and always will. Please extend my sympathies to your family. Uncle John will surely miss his buddy. Let me know of anything that I can do. Please give me a call when you have some time. With deepest sympathy, Helen
