On life's journey we lose many things, a car,a house, a dollar but when we lose the one that gave us life, all other life losses seem so trivial. In your loss, realize that your family was blessed to have her for 85 years;I lost my mother 17+ years ago and I am younger than all of Mrs. Leola's children. Find peace in knowing it was a gift from God that she lived to know her grand, great and great-great grandchildren...WOW!
In death I learned that it's not the quanity but the quality of time shared - in that find peace. The longing, tears and pain will never cease but in God there is comfort, and in time you will better accept and learn to go on in her memory- "Weeping endureth for a night but joy cometh in the morning".
She has given much to you, but the greatest gift is the knowledge of God; now it's on you to use that knowledge to move forward in a way that is pleasing to God and her.
Take it from me, "ITS GONNA BE ALRIGHT!" She ran her race, she finished her course, now it's time for HER to rest.
Much prayers and love to your family

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To my family I wish I could be there with at this time. Please know that you are in my prayers during this difficult time.

I love and miss everyone!!!!
