Loretta Jane Helton Johnson was born on November 8, 1945, a native of Marrero, LA. Loretta departed this life on Monday, November 5, 2018, in Warner Robins, GA at the age of 72 years old. Loretta completed her formal education in the Jefferson Parish Public School System. She attended Lincoln High School and Delta College where she studied to be a Clerk Typist. Loretta was employed by the Navy Lodge in New Orleans, LA for 29 years where she retired as a Supervisor in 2009. Loretta leaves to cherish her memories her five children Roland Duncan (Valencia), Darrell Duncan (Nell "Peaches"), Ginell L. Duncan, Jason L. Johnson(Nicole), Justin J. Johnson(Danielle). Sisters: Darlene Torry (David), Annette Hagan and Melody Batiste. Brothers: Louis Helton (Sharan), Lionel and Steve Helton. Grandchildren: Darrell, Shundreka (Andrea), Nicholas, Haili, Jaylyn, Heidi, Cheyenne, Janai, Damani, DaKayla, Sophia, Dayana, Jason, Jr. and Justice; great-grandchildren: Darrell, Va'lee, Dream, Rogers and Andrea, three brothers, three sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also Inspire NOLA Charter Schools, Saint Mary's Academy, Louisiana Probation and Parole, and Warner Robins Air Force Base are invited to attend a Funeral Service at New Home Ministries located at 1616 Carondelet Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to A. Hamilton Platinum Funeral Services located at 2055 Wooddale Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Interment at Restlawn Park & Cemetery, located at 3540 US Highway 90 West Avondale, LA 70094.
