Louis Thaddeus Bart, Sr., age 85, was born on October 31, 1935 in New Orleans, LA departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2021. He was a retired self employed General Contractor whose work can be seen throughout the city. Louis was an avid Fisherman and he loved fishing the waters of Louisiana. He was the loving Husband of Cynthia Ketchens Bart. Son of the late Camille Lebeau Bart and Oscar Bart, Sr. Devoted Father of David Bart, Louis T. Bart, Jr., Rachel Daniel and Marjorie Cooper. Step-father of ABdullah Salaam and Angel Williams. Brother of Charlotte Crump Hughes. Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 1 sister Bernadine Pembrook; 2 brothers Oscar Bart, Jr. and Alvin Bart; and 1 step-son Demetrius Ketchens. Due to city regulations, only a limited number of relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St. Bernard Avenue, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Private Burial.
