Lucille Touchard Obituary

TOUCHARD Lucille Basse Touchard, beloved daughter of the late Mr. Lucien Basse and Mrs. Lorenza Pizani Basse; wife of the late John B. Touchard, Sr., passed away peacefully on March 4, 2012. She was the loving mother of John B. Touchard, Jr. (Patricia Parria Touchard) and Gail J. Touchard, Sr. (Lena Menard Touchard); Grandmother of Tonya Touchard Eitmann (Armond Eitmann), Dawn Touchard Mamolo (Rudy Mamolo, Jr.), John B. Touchard, III (Jerilyn Comeaux Touchard), Gail J. Touchard, Jr. (Nicole Aymond Touchard), Shane Touchard (Brandy Helmer Touchard); Great-grandmother of Cameron Dufrene, Alexandra Mamolo, Dustin Touchard, Sophie Touchard, Bailey Ancona, Blaise Hotard. She was the last surviving sibling of the late Stella Basse Adams, Mary Mabel Basse Fabre, Ellen Basse Belsome, Alfred Joseph Basse, Sr., Ellias Basse, Sr. and Joseph Hansel Basse, Sr. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Lucille was a lifelong resident of Barataria, LA. The family and friends are welcomed to attend the service being held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafitte on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM and will be followed by a Mass at the church. She will be laid to rest in the Little Village Cemetery in Barataria, LA. The family would like to thank Wynhoven Nursing Home staff for their dedicated care during her stay. Condolences may be offered online at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.

You are truely missed mawmaw Teal! I am so glad for the times I got to spend with you. I am also glad for the times my family spent with you. I thank you for all the times you helped babysit Cameron for me so I could attend college. I'm glad that my children got to know you. We will never forget mawmaw Teal spaghetti with mashed potatoes & eyeball stew, along with all those wonderful holiday pies & cakes! Thanks for being such a special part of my life. I still love you!
