Mabel Schaubhut Obituary

SCHAUBHUT Mabel Champagne Schaubhut, age 88, a native of Boutte, LA and resident of Des Allemands, LA, was entrusted to God's loving care on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at her home. Survivors include: 4 sons: Steven Schaubhut and wife, Beverly, Edward "Jimmy" Schaubhut and wife, Doris, Barry Schaubhut and Brain Schaubhut and wife, Clair; 2 daughters: Sue Champagen and husband, Wayne and Margo Tastet and husband, Russell; 1 sister, Gladys Trauth; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge "Mickey" Schaubhut; her parents: James Champagne and Alice Lirette Champagne; 3 brothers: Clarence, Wilbert and Milton Champagne; and sister, Mildred Laque. Mabel dedicated her life to her family and was a contant source of love, affection and inspiration to us all. Visitaion will commence on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, LA from 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombent will follow in the Church Mausoluem. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland, LA in charge of arrangements, (985) 537-5261.
