Our deepest & most sincere condolences to Marrio's family, friends and loved ones.....

My husband & I were neighbors who quickly became good friends with Marrio here in ATL for 14 years. He was one of the BEST neighbors and most importantly, friends we'd ever meet! Not just to us, but to everyone he met! Not only was Marrio kind, generous beyond measure, a friend to all with a heart of gold and an infectious smile; he was extremely gifted & talented in too many ways to list here. He was a natural leader & elected our first official HOA president, had a way with people, and everything he did was classy, decent, and in order. He was well known for his gift of a discerning eye for anything design. Many of us knew him for having the most beautifully decorated home around! His taste was impeccable! I could go on and on about Marrio. He was just that kind of person, not many of which you meet in a lifetime. I will sum it up with this; He had a brilliant mind, a heart of gold, a beautiful spirit and kind soul. He was truly one of a kind and I feel blessed that our life paths crossed.

To Marrio's Mom.....He loved & cared about you immensely! His face lit up every time he gave us an update of your well-being upon his return from each visit.

What gives me the greatest comfort is knowing Marrio loved the Lord! He was God-fearing and had unwavering Faith. I find peace in knowing this without a doubt! It's this fact that brings me comfort in knowing this is not goodbye. This is so long, until I see you on the other side.

Praying for you Peace that can only come from God.

God Bless,
Cynthia Hastie & James Hastie

Marrio was a very kind person always willing to help the person in need. We met the first day of Freshmen year of high school, in Civics Class, and became fast friends. He was the Zo to my Za (our little inside thing) ... I will never forget our talks about trendsetting clothing and who were real style icons that changed fashion. We could go on for hours talking about that.

Family you have my condolences and are in my prayers and I know God will keep you strong, during this time of great loss.

Rest well my dear friend. I will never forget you!

All my love,

Odile Johnson
