Our deepest sympathies to the family of Sister Mary Ann Farris. She was delightful to work with during some of my years at St. Joseph's Academy, Baton Rouge. I also had the occasion to recommend couples in conflict to her care in assisting them in resolving their differences. They are together till this day which is a true testimony to her . She had such insight and was able to bring out the best in others. To her family, we send assurance of prayers of peace not only for her but for you as you deal with your sorrow.
Prayerfully in Christ,
Mary and Jim Altazan

Dear Family of Sr. Mary Ann and Sisters of St. Joseph,
My deepest sympathy and assurances of prayers for the consolation of your spirits on this Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Were it not for Sr. Mary Ann, I would not have made it through a very difficult time in the first year of priestly ministry. God Blessed me with her wisdom and guidance through an issue of conflict. Because of her, I am a better pastoral minister today.
Be assured of my heartfelt gratitude and prayers for Sr. Mary Ann and all of you who helped form her into the image of Christ she was and will be in the presence of God.
Peace in Christ,
Rev. Gregory J. Daigle

Sr. Mary Ann was my eighth grade teacher my first year at the Academy. She was such a caring person and knew how to make a lost, frightned kid feel welcome in a new school. I have such fond memories of her.
My deepest sympathy to her family and especially, George, who I got to know many years later .

I was so sorry to learn of Sr. Mary Ann's death. I have very fond memories of her taking care of me on Mr. Peter Nasca's school bus when I was in Primer (Kindergarten) Grade, We went to St. Agnes School and she was a few years older. She watched over a frightened 5 year old. Even way back then she was such a caring and loving person. She will be missed. Rose Saia Piper
