Mary Rush Obituary

Mary "TUT" Rush peacefully passed away at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic on 7 September 2018, she was 71. She was a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area, a retired teacher of the Orleans Parish school system after 30 years of service. She is survived by her son Abdul Thomas, daughter Sabrina Thomas, step-son James Rush Jr, one grandson, two granddaughters, one great-grandson, two sisters, two brothers and a host of nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband James Rush Sr., son Clarence LaFrance III, and father Andrew Richard, mother Rosemary Young Richard, Sister Rosemary Richard and Brother Freddie Richard. Funeral services will be held on 22 September 2018, at 12pm with visitation from 10:45to 11:45am at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 4712 Ray Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70126. Repass will be held at John McDonough V.F.W. Post 3121 475 Monroe Street Gretna, Louisiana.
