Mary Helen Saucier

1929 - 2018

Mary Helen Saucier passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2018. She was born on April 19, 1929 in New Orleans to the late Joseph and Helen Tramuta. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Saucier, Jr. and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Katherine E. Saucier and George M. Saucier, Sr. She is survived by her children, Kathy Sansovich (Mike), Michael Saucier and Lester Saucier; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Mary was a beloved 16 year resident of Lake Sherwood Village in Baton Rouge. She loved painting, playing bingo and singing. Most importantly, she loved being with her children, grandchildren and her friends. Mary's family would like to especially thank Father Ric Andrus, Mary Levy-Brown (friend), Elizabeth, Chelise and Ashley, her loving caregivers and the staff of Lake Sherwood Village, Baton Rouge Clinic, St. Joseph Hospice and Carpenter House. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1 pm.
