Mary Alice Spadaro

1939 - 2018

Mrs. Mary Alice Cabibi Spadaro, age 79, died peacefully on August 2, 2018, at East Jefferson General hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mary Alice was born on February 2, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Frank Cabibi Jr. and Nunzia Theresa D'Antoni Cabibi. Sister of the late Frank Cabibi III. Mary Alice attended St. James Major and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. Mary worked many years as a legal secretary until she became a homemaker. She married the late Leo Spadaro Sr. in 1969, and had three children. Loving mother of Lisa Marie Spadaro (Kevin), Joseph Louis Spadaro (Marcella) and the late Leo Spadaro Jr. Grandmother of Joseph Marcelo Spadaro, Nicholas Lawrence Spadaro, Blake Joseph Spadaro, Brandon Joseph Spadaro, Bryce Joseph Spadaro, and Leo Jacob Spadaro. She also was very active at St. Angela Merici Church and was a long-time employee of St. Angela Merici Parish. She was also survived by her aunt Mary Alice Cabibi Thompson and sister-in-law Rose Spadaro Gilberti (Louis). She will be greatly missed by her loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation and funeral at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana on Monday, August 13, 2018.
