Mathilda Palfrey Obituary

Mathilda Candiff Palfrey, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Seattle Washington, at the age of 84. Mathilda was a native of New Orleans, LA, attended St. Raymond Grade School, Joseph S. Clark High School and was an active parishioner of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and a member of the Church's Choir. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose Mary Candiff and Albert Candiff, Sr., sisters, Mildred Lucien, Gloria Tanner and brothers, Albert Jr., and Marcel Candiff, Sr. She is survived by sons, Reginald Palfrey, sr. (Shelly), Kevin Palfrey, Sr., Wayne Palfrey, Sr. (Jeanne Marie) and daughter, Shelia Palfrey; 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four sisters and one brother and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 20, 2015 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1923 t. Philip St., NOLA for 11:00 am. Interment: St. Louis # 3 Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 8:30 am. Visitation begins at 9:00 am. CHARBONNET-LABAT-GLAPION 581-4411
