Dear St. Martin family, I had the honor and pleasure to work for Dr. St. Martin for many years. He was always kind, willing to help, take time to teach, had a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. He spoke and told stories of his family, trips, and life experiences with great love. When telling these stories he always had a smile on his face. He was an amazing person. It was an honor to have known him.

Roxie and family: Edward was my cardiologist and GP from when I was 35 until he retired. We are/were the same age. I not only was proud to have him as my doctor but I also enjoyed his dry wit. We are both Tulane graduates so we talked football and baseball. And Saints of course. We were both golfers so there was that. He often referred to me as his "problem child. " when he retired (too young) as far as I was concerned I gave him a copy of Pete Finney´s Greatest Columns which he enjoyed. He loved his girls and their families and told me I was lucky my two children and grandchildren lived in New Orleans. He asked me to speak on behalf of Roxie at the Orleans Club which I gladly did. - Angus Lind retired Times-Picayune columnist and my wife Anne

To the St Martin Family, I´m heartbroken to learn of Dr St Martin´s passing. My dad and I were both patients of his. He literally saved my father´s life several times. I can think of no more compassionate, kind, competent, and caring man than he. I knew he loved sailing and his family very much, but reading his obituary made me see what a wonderful and amazing man he was. May the peace of Christ be with you all.

My condolences to Dr. St. Martin's family.
Both my mother and my husband were his patients. During my husband, Johnnie Beeson's several hospital stays Dr. St. Martin provided the best of care.
Few people achieve his many and varied talented accomplishments.

Dearest Roxie,
It has been almost six decades since you and I worked together at Baptist Hospital and even longer since I knew Eddie in High School. He was phenomenal then, so it's no surprise to learn of everything he has accompolished in his lifetime. He was truly a unique individual; and even though he left for college before graduation, he has forever remained a part of our class family. My sincere condolences to you and your family. May all of your wonderful memories of Eddie help sustain you through this most difficult of times.

To: The St. Martin Family,
I am a former patient of Dr. St.Martin and wish to express my sincere condolences to all of you. What a precious jewel. He was one of the most caring, dedicated, passionate and compassionate doctor's that you can have. When I was told that he was leaving, I was devastated. He reassured me that I would be placed with another good doctor and he did just that. I was very happy. Thanks for sharing your love one with all of us. May you find joy in knowing that your precious jewel had an impact in many of our lives. May God continue to give all of you the strength to endure such a great loss.
Respectfully yours,
Fredia S. Lacey
