Melanie was a delight to work with at the Academy. When she heard I was retiring, she arranged for friends and colleagues to celebrate my 26 years of teaching at a local restaurant. I still have the lovely crystal bowl she gifted me. I think of her every time I use it. Love you, Melanie! Grace

I well remember the many times you and Wayne taught at our Singles Meetings in Church, Melanie. You taught me a lot, not just in word, but also by your beautiful example. You did, indeed, bear the fragrance of Christ wherever you went. (2 Corinthians 2:14). I will miss you, but I know you are now rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

I'm praying for the Lyerly/Glavina. Melanie was a wonderful woman. Always ready to lend a hand or an ear if you needed to talk. She always had words of encouragement, wisdom or a funny story to tell. She was my own personal "cheerleader"! I've never met anyone who encouraged me more than she did. She will be missed by so many, but especially by her precious family. This I know, we will see her again one day! She is content, peaceful and rejoicing with her "new", healed body. Love you all!! Aimee' and Danielle

Missing you already, Melanie! I will always remember your presence at the Academy, your strength in teaching and integrity. I felt proud to be on staff with you. I remember attending a "slumber party" with other teachers and the good times of laughter we had together sharing school stories. God's gain is our loss.
