Merlyn Agatha Patureau Pays passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Chateau de Notre Dame in New Orleans, LA. Beloved wife of Warren Jack Pays for sixty-nine years. Loving mother of Craig Pays (wife, Petra) and Darlene Pays Brunet (husband, Bob). Grandmother of Scott Pays (wife, Lauren), Caroline Pays, and Brigitte Pays. Great-grandmother of Mallory Pays and Brennan Pays. Daughter of the late Peter Patureau and the late Mary Roussel Patureau. Sister of Mary, Maureen, and the late Malcolm, Mercedes, Myles, Melvin, Michael, and Marion. Also survived by her former daughter-in-law, Joy Morton (husband, Michael), as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Merlyn loved her family with a deep passion, and spent her whole life caring for them. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she cared for everyone around her as family. Services will be private at a later date.
