Michael Liuzza Obituary

Michael Jerome Liuzza passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the age of 52 years, after a brief battle with cancer. He is the beloved son of Jerome (Jerry) Liuzza and the late Beverly Liuzza and stepson of Kerri Liuzza. He is the father of Lucas Liuzza. He is survived by his brother Glen Liuzza (Tammy). He is the beloved grandson of Helen Michel and the late Raymond Michel, the late Jerome Liuzza, and the late Rosa Liuzza. He is also survived by many nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Michael graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School and attended Southeastern University. He loved to make people laugh. He was a talented artist and free spirit with a giving heart. He never met a stranger, and he was an avid sports fan who loved the Saints and LSU. He will be missed by many, but he can now rest in peace with his mother whom he adored and missed dearly until his death. The family is most grateful for the compassionate care that was given to Michael by the doctors and staff at Ochsner Hospital. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Graveside service at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave., in Gretna on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. It's already been a year and I still have to remind myself that I can't just call you for a good laugh or 10.

You are so missed but most of all? You are remembered fondly
