Mildred Elaine Larsen

1929 - 2019

Mildred Elaine Cure Larsen entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Sunday January 6, 2019, at the age of 89 years old. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Emile Cure and Katherine Peterson Cure on May 28, 1929 and lived in Chalmette, Louisiana for the past 56 years. Mildred was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School and was employed at Charity Hospital of New Orleans in the position of Secretary to the Director of the Hospital until 1958. She leaves to cherish her memory Pendleton "Penny" William Larsen, Jr. (Cindy) and David Emile Larsen; Grandson Pendleton William Larsen, III (Danielle) and Great-Grandchildren Isabella Larsen and Alexander Larsen. The joy of Mildred's life were her two sons and grandson and their involvement with the Krewe of Thoth. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Pendleton William Larsen, sisters Thelma C. Rodriguez and Elvira C. Restivo and her brother Albert E. Cure. The family asks that employees of the St. Bernard Parish School Board and Transportation Department, Waldemar S. Nelson and Co., Inc., members of the Krewe of Thoth and Custom Cruisers keep her in your prayers. A private burial ceremony honoring Ms. Mildred Larsen will be held at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, Louisiana.
