Marlene, I read the story of your grandson in the paper and my heart just broke for you. I don't know if you remember me, I worked with you years ago in the Medicare office of Blue Cross on St. Charles. Josie Cooper and I still keep in touch and we both have grandchildren and know how much we love them and how hard it would be to lose one of them. I hope as time goes by you can find some peace in the memories you have. Know that Josie and I are thinking of you and that you and your family are in our prayers and thoughts.

This is the hardest goodbye I’ve ever had to write. A tribute to my neighbor who I considered my younger brother & at 18, left us way too soon. Earlier in that terrible night, I was thinking to myself about a kitten his mother had found & Milton loved dearly. Then, I was thinking about how that kitten would grow up, & one day Milton’s kids would be playing with it. Sadly & tragically, this never will happen.
Milton loved kids & would have been an awesome father.

Milton was, & his parents are true friends, welcoming me & my family into the neighborhood 14 months ago.
We have always felt blessed & extremely lucky to have them as our neighbors. Milton’s loss leaves a deep hole in our lives. He was so loving & caring to us & he will be missed deeply. Milton was the most polite, gentle, good hearted kid.

Jan and Milton and family:

I just wanted to let you know that my family is thinking of yours during this awful time. I wish I knew better words to comfort you all, but like others, I am at a loss to express them.

May healing find you quickly, and Milton's prayer give you some solace.

With love, through sorrow,

Karen Hood Blaise and family

Dear Milton, Jan and family,
I am praying for the Lord to embrace you all during this time of grief and loss - The Lord is near to the broken-hearted and hears your cries. He knows the grief and sorrow of death of his only Son, Jesus, and is able to comfort and strengthen you through the coming days. Milton had a special place in my heart as his teacher. May the Lord bless and keep you,
